Great Hacks

First, in response to my (video game) comment about having the "Ivalice Itch", Anne has responded with the following remedy. Hopefully it's not useful to any of us, but I think it's clever nonetheless.

Some of you may have heard of Ben Heck, of console hacking fame. His latest project, a one-handed 360 controller, was crafted at the request of a soldier who lost an arm in Iraq. The thing looks good to boot! (Via everywhere, think I saw it on Make first)

Lastly, I like tools, whether they're tools by design or not. Via Make is a list of things soldiers find useful, the most notable of which (that got a lot of media coverage itself) being silly string.
